At macro distances, a single exposure can only hold a sliver of a ring in focus. I shoot each piece as a series of frames, moving the focus point from the front prong to the back of the band, then blend them into one image.
The result is edge-to-edge sharpness the eye expects but a camera can’t capture in one shot — every facet, setting and engraving crisp enough to zoom in on.
